Additional Core Features Wire Mesh/Stretched Metal Mesh
Metal mesh as a rigid skeleton substrate compensates for the shortcomings of pure PU boards and adds five key performance advantages:
1. Enhanced Tensile, Tear and Bending Strengths
Pure natural PU boards are relatively soft and easy to stretch, deformation and breakage. Once the metal mesh is in place, the board is less likely to stretch, warp and tear, and its resistance to bending increases 3 to 6 times.
2. Improved structural rigidity, flatness and dimensional stability
This prevents polyurethane from shrinking, bulging and warping at edges when heat/moisture is applied. This helps ensure that the board will not deform over time and that it will not crack when cut or drilled.
3. More impact, crushing and compression resistance
The metal mesh distributes impact force when hit by ores, or heavy objects thus preventing local cracking of the PU. Can be used as a heavy duty wear resistant lining.
4. Simple Mechanical Installation
The metal mesh layer is directly fixed by screws or welding, which does not need the additional pre-embedded steel plates and has a higher assembly efficiency on site.
5. Prevents creep deformation
Natural PU is easy to deform slowly under long-term pressure, but the metal skeleton limits the creep and the thickness does not collapse under long-term pressure.
