Ⅲ. Core Characteristics and Advantages of UPE Plastic Sheets
The performance of UPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) sheets stems from their long molecular chain structure. Key characteristics include:
Extreme Abrasion Resistance: Abrasion resistance is 10 times that of ordinary PE and 7 times that of carbon steel, making it suitable for high-friction applications (such as silo linings).
Ultra-Low Friction: Dynamic friction coefficient is only 0.05-0.1, with strong self-lubricating properties, requiring no additional lubrication and avoiding contamination.
Superior Impact Resistance: No brittle fracture at temperatures ranging from -269℃ to 80℃; impact strength is 6 times that of ABS, making it suitable for cushioning components.
Corrosion and Weather Resistance: Resistant to most acids, alkalis, and organic solvents (except for strong oxidizing media); water absorption rate < 0.01%; aging life exceeds 30 years.
Lightweight and Hygienic: Density is only 0.93-0.95 g/cm³, non-toxic and odorless, meeting food/medical hygiene standards.

Ⅴ. How to Select High-Quality UPE Plastic Sheets
Appearance: High-quality sheets have a smooth, uniform surface and consistent color (no dullness/lumps), uniform density across the cut surface, and smooth, rounded edges (no cracks/flaking).
Density Test: Pure UPE density is 0.93-0.95 g/cm³.
Heat Resistance Test: At 200℃, it only softens and does not deform.
Touch Feel: The surface is smooth without roughness (indicating self-lubricating properties); in the water pouring test, water flows smoothly down (no water absorption residue).
Parameter Check: Prioritize products with a molecular weight ≥ 3 million (better abrasion resistance/impact resistance), and request test reports (such as abrasion resistance and impact strength).
