AHD PTFE Mix Polyoxymethylene Rod
POM+PTFE Rod is a composite engineering plastic rod made of polyoxymethylene (POM) matrix and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) filler. Its core design principle is complementary advantages: PTFE's "super-lubricating and corrosion-resistant" properties compensate for the friction/corrosion shortcomings of pure POM, while POM's "rigidity and stability" solves the soft deformation problem of pure PTFE, ultimately achieving a high-performance synergy where "1+1>2".

Perfect balance between lubrication and rigidity: Resolves the contradiction between the "softness" of pure PTFE and the "friction" of pure POM;
Full environmental adaptability: Stable performance from low to medium temperatures, from dry to corrosive environments;
High cost-effectiveness: 2-5 times longer lifespan than pure POM, and 30%-50% cheaper to process than pure PTFE.
Core Characteristics of POM+PTFE Rods
(I) Physical and Mechanical Properties: Balanced Stiffness and Toughness, Precise Dimensions
High Stiffness: Inheriting the intrinsic properties of POM (elastic modulus 2.5-3.5 GPa), 3-8 times higher than pure PTFE, capable of withstanding heavy loads without easily deforming;
Moderate Toughness: PTFE alleviates the brittleness of pure POM;
Dimensional Stability: Low moisture absorption (<0.2%) + low coefficient of thermal expansion (8-12×10⁻⁵/℃), suitable for high-precision assembly.
(II) Friction and Wear Performance: An Industry Benchmark for Ultra-Slippery Wear Resistance
This is the core feature of the POM+PTFE Rod, stemming from the synergistic effect of "dual low friction":
Extremely low coefficient of friction: μ=0.05-0.15 under dry friction (significantly lower than pure POM), approaching "self-lubricating";
Excellent wear resistance: Wear rate is only 1/5-1/10 of pure POM;
No stick-slip phenomenon: Avoids the alternating "jamming-slipping" of metal/plastic friction, resulting in smoother operation.
(III) Chemical Stability: All-round corrosion resistance, adaptable to extreme environments
Strong corrosion resistance: PTFE primarily resists strong acids (concentrated sulfuric acid), strong alkalis (NaOH), and organic solvents (benzene), while POM supplements oil resistance (mineral oil/lubricating oil);
Anti-aging: Resistant to UV radiation/hydrolysis, outdoor lifespan 5-10 years (depending on environment).
(IV) Thermal Properties: Wide temperature range applicable, controllable heat distortion
Operating Temperature: -40℃ to 120℃ (neutralizes pure POM and pure PTFE), balancing low-temperature toughness and medium-temperature creep resistance;
Heat distortion temperature: 110-130℃ at 1.82 MPa (higher than pure PTFE), suitable for medium-temperature loads.
(V) Processing Performance: Easy to mold, compatible with conventional processes
Injection/Extrusion Friendly: Retains the high fluidity of POM (melt flow rate 5-20 g/10min), can be molded with conventional equipment;
Excellent Machinability: Hardness M80-90, easier to turn/mill than pure PTFE, resulting in a smooth surface.
